My third showing took place with my new friends in the POP UP SHOP world, Sofi & Jason of Great Spirits Designs. Hosted in Kensington Market and in front of the popular KOS Restaurant, a handful of creative artists took their place. The sun is shining and everyone's spirits is encouraging. Mind you, it's the May 24 weekend and I'm a bit curious as to how that will effect the number of visitors. Either way. I'm looking forward to the weekend. Participating in the open markets is a great way to gain lots of knowledge about vending resources, show & events and everyone I talk to is very comfortable and willing to help new comers.
As I'm just starting out, I'm still figuring out the best way to decorate and showcase my table. The last time I had the belts laid out flat on the table over lapping each other and even though it didn't look horrible, it didn't look great by any means. This time, I added levels and depth, rolled the belts instead laying them out flat, added a few more Rebel products, hung a few to frame the table, and lastly added a small amount of decorations. Much better but still a long way to go in terms of decor. At this time I don't want to spend a large amount of money buying display supplies until I'm sure that the vendor path is one for me. it's still too soon to decide.
The organizers also provided entertainment throughout the day. Music, song and even a fewdancers took to the ground for a happy dance. I luv this about the Market and it has not changed considerably in all the years I've been coming here. And that's a great thing!
